- The two-stage operation of proprietary estoppel: i. the acquisition of an ‘estoppel equity’ and ii. ‘satisfaction’ of that equity by a court
- The requirements for acquisition of an estoppel equity, including a discussion of how s.2 Law of Property (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1989 may affect the application of the doctrine in certain cases
- How the courts decide on the appropriate remedy to satisfy the equity
- When an estoppel equity which has not yet been satisfied will bind a subsequent owner of the land to which it relates.
