This lecture presentation analyses common law remedies in contract. It is split into two parts. The first part considers the nature of damages: specified damages, unliquidated damages, expectation damages, reliance damages and restitutionary compensation. In the second lecture the issues of causation, remoteness and mitigation are considered.
